I just bought 2 120 HP motors. One starts one
will not. They sat for 2 years. (The one that
won't start) The starter enters the flywheel
but will not turn over the motor, some times it
will but very slowly. It will kill the battery
if i keep tring. It turns over hard with a
wrench. The person i bought them from stoped
running also. He got 3 to 5 for theft.
Can anyone out there help ?

Thanks in advance.
Papa Don

So, the same battery can crank one engine fine but not the other...

Sounds like the other is partially seized. Spray some penetrating oil down the cylinders and let em' soak, see if this helps.

Pull the spark plugs and put a couple of spoonfulls of outboard oil in the holes. Let it sit overnight and see it that improves the turnover. Corrosion may have set in on the cylinder walls.
