I just bought a boat, love the hull and style of the boat. No hull numbers on the boat, and the outdrive is original, i was told it is electronic shift has a wire going down into foot, has a chevy 350 inboard and i am hopping someone can help me. I have some very good pictures of the outdrive and boat but i don't know how to put the pictures on here for everyone to see. All the title says is it is a Year 1969, body VS, Manufacturer FIBRA BO, hull #3694198 was told the boat ran good, but the tiny owner took it in the ocean once and got scared....the trailer and rack it has is worth the $1200 i bought it for. I am keeping the boat and want to make it 100% i have stripped it of all wirring and took 50 gal gas tank out to clean it. Took it to a boat shop and there was water in the outdrive, looking to rebuild it. I want this boat 100% when me and my son go out for weekend trips on the ocean, it has a cabin and thats why i want to rebuild the boat so i know it in and out. Any help posting the pictures would be appriciated....thnks david

To post a photo on iboats, you need to have your pics stored on an online server - such as photobucket. There are other free pic hosting sites but photobucket is the most popular. Google 'free pic hosting sites', there are plenty to chose from.

Just taking a guess, but I'm thinking you have an OMC "stringer" electric shift drive.

First off, the picture has to be on the internet somewhere, not just in your computer. <br /><br />You can put your pictures up on a free internet picture hosting server. Here is one that is run by SONY<br /> http://www.imagestation.com/ <br /><br />Note, signing up with this site will put you on their mailing list, but what do you expect for nothing?<br /><br />Sign up, upload your image.<br /><br />To post a picture on iboats:<br /><br />Go to the full sized picture on the internet or hosting site, not a thumbnail.<br />Right click, then click "properties".<br />Highlight the URL address, <br />then right click on it and click "copy". <br />THe URL must end with "jpg"<br /><br />Now come back to you post here on iboats.<br />Click the "FULL REPLY FORM" button below the reply dialogue box.<br />Click the "image" button that appears below the dialog box. <br />Paste the URL into the text box.<br />Click ok.

Another way to do it is to email the pictures to me, and I will post them within 24 hours. roscoe33 @ Mac.com

Omc I/O, I don't know what model, I'm sure someone will though. Looks similar to the one Boomyal has in his Glastron.

Re: UNKNOWN Boat & Outdrive

It looks like a 800 series Omc Stringer drive(very bad)....I hate to be on the down side but I would sell it for parts, and find another boat.<br />It is too bad you found this site after buying it. It will cost you more to fix it than the entire boat is worth.

Re: UNKNOWN Boat & Outdrive

i did do a lot of searching, i found out it is a 400/800 stringer omc high profile sterndrive. Parts a available. I'm not getting rid of the boat. I will restore it and keep it. WHATEVER it takes to make it 100%.<br />OK so now can anyone find any info on the boat? Is there a make or something...........title only says FIBRA BO in manufacturer space.....is that short for fiberglass boat? or is that a maker? HID on title says 3694198. I should be on the boat right? maybe many coats of paint is why i can't see it? thnx for the info..........
