Re: UNKNOWN Boat & Outdrive

WHATEVER it takes to make it 100%
I can't help you with IDing the hull,...... It's a Really Nice Looking 1...........

If the quote above is what you Truely wish to Do,...........

Strip Out the OMC,+ Part it Out........
Then fill in the transom,+ transplant a Mercruiser or Volvo into it..............

You don't have enough left of that OMC to even remotely justify the Major Expence of making that pile of parts Run,.......
Muchless Reliably............

I've already done a couple of these,+ I'm looking at 2 that are "In the Process"........
3 Highliner 222s,........ And an Old Town Atlantis............

david - If you live anywhere in south Florida I'm going to guess that the Fibra is one of manufacturers of boats that we used to call Hialeah specials. They were 25' long and ususlly came with a 4 or 6 cyl I/O. Another like brand was Spacecraft. They sold for around $5,000.00 in the 1960s and were not known for quality.

Yours may be different as I never saw one of the Hialeah specials with a V8.

Re: UNKNOWN Boat & Outdrive

well i have been told by a couple people that the hull of this boat is very thick compared to a boat these days.......i've been told it twice the thickness and it is a very strong and solid boat, that is why i like it, the hull is in perfect shape, i do have to replace the 2 blocks that the engine is mounted too, one side has a small section of rot about 2 inches by 2 inches where the engine mount is on the top side...........i don't need the engine jumping in my lap on a nice ocean run.........lol....thnx for the info........
