so i pulled the....and it wasnt a seal.... it was worse
part of a tooth broke off and went thru the housing...so now i gotta look for a new/used upper....my current upper is an 888(mc-1 right?) with a 9 1/4 long drive shaft....so an alpha 1 gen 1 should bolt up to it...
so, yesterday i noticed lube coming out of my weep hole in my lower unit...so, today i took off the top vent screw and stuck a wire down in the hole and the wire came out dry..to my understanding, there should be lube all the way up to that vent screw???...so to make sure i wasnt bone dry i put...
i have a 1975 sea ray srv 190, it has a merc 351w in it, not sure what year, stern drive s/n #4516491, engine s/n #4475146..cant seem to find any info on these numbers and would love to know the year and such if anyone knows, and its hooked up to a merc 888 outdrive....ty!

these tabs came on my boat and i cant find anything about them....i cant adjust them on the fly they are hinged, like i can just move them up n down freely....are these tabs junk? are they decent? should i look into smart tabs??
