Need a bit of help guys. I understand needing the oil pressure switch to control power to the new electric fuel pump, and tying it in to the starter circuit, however this starter only has 2 terminals instead of 3. How can I work around this and still have power to the pump when the engine is...
There are 3 black cube relays on the starboard side of the engine, near the main wiring harness. Are you suggesting one of them could be the starter relay? Still can't post a picture. Thanks.
Could someone please tell me where the starter slave solenoid is located on a 2013 Mercruiser 3.0 MPI? SN# 2A047409 Please tell me it is not on the backside of the metal bracket, just above the starter? If so, how does one access it?
Thanks
The engine side of the main harness has all the correct wires, however the boat side has only 8. From what I'm reading online, Four Winns offered the engine alarm as an available option. Why it would not have been standard is beyond me.
So the alarm is now working. I ran a separate wire from the number 4 pin to a new alarm at the helm, with the other side to 12V purple wire at the volt meter. I now get 2 short beeps when turning the key to the run position, followed by 2 short beeps when the engine actually starts. I'm assuming...
Thanks for the info guys.
After looking at the main harness on the boat side, I have discovered there are only 8 wires instead of 10. The tan/black wire is not there, leading me to believe there never was an alarm on the boat. Guess I'm going to have to tap into the engine wiring harness, and...
Hi guys,
I've been trying to find out why there is no engine alarm when you turn the key on before starting the engine. I hear the fuel pump kick in, but nothing else. Engine runs fine, but no alarm. Is the alarm buzzer located somewhere near the helm? I cant seem to find it, despite a thorough...
The new Sierra switch from Amazon fits perfectly.... Only problem is that it functions just the opposite from the original.... It's a closed circuit with the lanyard key removed, and with the lanyard key in place, there is no power to the ignition... :(
