    Which rpm range should I shoot for

    Just rebuilt my 1987 Mercruiser 260 Chaparral 278xl and im a little confused to what rpm range I should be shooting for.     Boat capacity plate

    I have a 1987 chaparral 278 xlc which measures 27' 9". Im about to go get get coast guard certified and noticed I don't have a capacity plate, From reading rules of Pa it seems boats in my state dont need one but im wondering if i boat out of state will i need one....Thanks in advance

    260 Overheating at high rpms only

    I have a 1987 mercruiser 260hp that pulls hard but overheats only from 3/4 to full throttle. Runs 160 any other time.     Buzzing noise in speakers

    Water in the oil

    Working on a 1987 5.7l mercruiser. Discovered water in oil and not sure if its a head gasket,Intake gasket or risers and manifolds. Supposedly the port side head was removed before purchase and valve job was done. Sure seems to me that port side head gasket is junk.. Heres my compression tests...

    With the regular refs doing the game tonight, How long till we see a bad call and blame it on the strike. Next excuse will be "The refs been away to long".
