World Series

Since there wasn't a thread for the World Series, thought I would start one. Detroit got themselves into a hole, down 2 games. Can they come back? Great pitching duel last night. Who will take it all in how many more games? Anyone care?

Detroit is getting spanked. They "have" to sweep the Giants at home or it's all over, IMO. Detroit winning 4/5? Naw, Giants in 6.

A long rest before the Series starts is never good. Sweeping the Yanks may have been their undoing. We will see. I always say "you can't have an incredible comeback if you aren't seriously behind." Baseball has a special ability to make the impossible possible...

Have to agree. They would have to win all 3 at home, even if they win 2 then they would have to "sweep" in S.F. which ain't gonna happen.

I have to admit - I'd like to see the Tigers win. It's the old home team and we don't have a MLB franchise here in Nashville.

... and bonus! A win for the Tigers should get rid of a bunch of those abandoned houses and building around the downtown area. Grass outta' grow back pretty nicely next year after the fires die down too

... and bonus! A win for the Tigers should get rid of a bunch of those abandoned houses and building around the downtown area. Grass outta' grow back pretty nicely next year after the fires die down too

Well, the Tigers are all done. Stranded 9. Had bases loaded with 1 out and came away with nothing..... Detroit could be burning whether they win or lose....

Lose is "normal" burning: easy fires for the locals to deal with. Not as nice grass next year though

Not a Giants fan at all but have to admit they have a very good team. I like the fact that they didn't bring back Cabrerra for the post season. That showed they had some class.

Kind of a shocker the Giants were able to win 7 straight....... Ya, I was pullin' for the Tigers. All my in-laws are in MI............
