Hi folks, I haven't been on here in awhile due to being overwhelmed with work. Unfortunately, now I have an issue with this 1988 V6 with the VRO (variable ratio oiler) system, I come to the conclusion that the pump was not producing enough fuel for these 6 hungry carbs. so I replaced the VRO...
Hello everyone,
Question is; is the fuel pump supposed to cycle as soon as the key is turned to run position?
Just wondering if there is supposed to be a failsafe setup in case of emergency?
Next question; how to determine if this pump is Marine or Auto?
Thanks in advance...
Audie

Thanks

I have tried everything I can think of so far, and this little guy barely runs at low idle and is very hard hard to get it to stay running then. Here is what I have done so...

Any ideas?
Thanks:confused:
I am currently working on this small outboard, it idles fine but dies immediately upon any acceleration.
I have gone through the carb with a fine tooth comb; it is not the problem!
The tiller handle has a cable to the throttle control, but does not affect the carb., it appears a small servo may...
Hi everybody, I am new here and asking for assistance please.
I did not pressure test the coolant system like i should have, i automatically thought the head gasket was blown, however it looks OK, any suggestions of what to look for.
Thanks Audie
