    140 hp won't turn off

    I have a 1989 140 Evinrude that will not turn off with the key or kill switch. I have tested the key switch and kill switch asper the manual and they test out fine. all the connection in the motor seem good and clean. Does this mean the power pack needs to be replaced ????

    Rigging a 140 HP

    Has anyone rigged a Stingray 551 ZP with a 140 Evinrude? How high do you rig the motor with the notched transom? I know on a normal v hull it is normally cavitation flush with the bottom of the hull. Do you rig this one higher than normal?

    140 Hp drive shaft splines

    I have found out that there are different drive shaft part numbers for different modle years of the 140 hp V4. My motor is a CE140TLCEB. Are all the splines the same or did they have different splines for different years of the 140Hp drive shaft.

    I am looking to buy a 1989 140 Evinrude Mod # CE140TLCEB with no gear case. is it posible to use a lower unit of of a early to mid 80's 140 hp modle ?
