Ok I have a 1990 Yamaha CV30 30hp 2 cylinder single carb motor! It apparently shares the same division as mariner within the late 80s - 90s.
I’m used to working on OMC motors where the carb float stays level upside down.
When I do this to this carb, the needle ( which has some sort of...
So, with hood off it will run full speed full throttle no issues… when I put the hood on, it revs up then I lose power and rpm’s… it won’t stall but just stays starving for fuel or air.
Any thoughts?
I have a 1982 35Hp Evinrude. E35elcnd but the top part of the carb is toast..
I have a 25hp carb from a 1971 25hp motor.
the top of the carbs are IDENTICAL. With the exception of no Venturi through the throat. And the throttle linkage is a little different.
the high speed jet in the 25 bowL...
So I picked up this total P O S. This guy said it sat for 10 years indoors but it looks like it sat at the bottom of a lake for 10 years. I mean RUST EVERYWHERE! But it might be all rat Pee.
anyway I FINALLY finished hooking up electronics and starter and im getting.... 155 PSI!!!! EACH...
So I have this 1982 35HP Tiller Evinrude electric start long shaft. It has the manual choke but I was wondering how I could Wire up an electric choke That I had off another motors carb.
I was thinking I could just wire it to the start switch. The only problem being that the choke would engage...
I just picked up this motor E40RWLCOM and the gear case is shot / Not guts in it.
Basically Im gunna need a new one. This an 85 motor with the split gear case. I didn't know they kept that design past 79!
Now most motors this year and around with electric start have the sealed gear case...
Sorry to beat a dead horse but I’m having the same problem with 2 different motors.
I converted 2 7.5 motors... one a 1956 the other a 57.
one using the vacuum cap method.. the other filling the channel with hardener.
both motors start and run beautifully...
both motors when at high speed...
I picked up this monster with the intention of "broadening" My outboard learning.. plus the price was right 50$
problem is I hear the Electric shift motors are crap. also... its missing carbs, all electrical components with the exception of the lower unit shift wires, no flywheel no stater ...
Lost spark to the top cylinder only...
Coils tested ok. 250ohms. Swapped them just to make sure... same problem...
read a lot of people who when there was no spark to only 1 cylinder to check/replace coil pack. New coil pack .. same result.
tested the spark plug wires and they were jumping...
Ok small back story... I have a carb... only 1 carb... it’s 15hp. Plastic top and bottom... 87-92 I believe
it’s on a motor... the type of motor is irrelevant at this point in the story..
now... according to brp parts catalog... 15hp longshaft Motor has high speed jet #55
and the 15hp...
So I finally found a pressure tank that I can use for these motors and every time I search this I get the “how to convert” topic
ive asked this before on another motor but this one has to two barbs coming out of the intake plate. Top one and bottom
which goes to the air hose pumping crank...
