So my Axle is done. it broke at the spindle hub once. i fixed it. Now its broke again and i dont think its worth the effort to try again. Now finding the axle is a pain. Its a 16ft Javelin Boat and matched trailer. 60" frame width. Looks to be 58.5 spring centers and 72.5" between hubfaces...

    12v Motorguide keeps frying switches.

Your exactly right it isn't the right bolt. I need to get that replaced. And I do hope it's fixed. Hoping that melted wire sitting on the ground was the issue and not just the result of the problem still un discovered.

To clarify. In my trolling motor there is a bulb under the direction indicator on the head. Lights up whenever the button on the foot is pressed just for low light situations. Well Motorguide decided it would be a good ideas to run said light its own power wire coming directly from the foot...

    12v Motorguide keeps frying switches.

Here's some pics of what I've got. Could I be dealing with a motor that's just old and drawing too much? Honestly it's probably time for a new one , but id like to get what I can out of it before that investment.

    12v Motorguide keeps frying switches.

So I've come across a problem I can't quite figure out. Here recently this FW-FB 46lb trolling motor has killed 3 foot switches. By that I'm referring to the one under the grey button pressed by your foot. The first switch died and the trolling motor was just stuck on. So I pulled a switch I...

    1990 Javelin 353. First boat!

I picked the boat up a week ago. So far im happy with it considering its basically free. Well not free, but i got little to no monetary value in the boat as i traded a Zero turn for the boat. And the zero turn was free to me. It needs a couple things. some small hull refurbishing.(scratches...

1991 johnson tilt and trim making alarming noise

So I got the boat not long ago and the trim has worked fine. Still does, but now since its gotten cold out (20s and 30s) it makes a puttering noise when you first trim the motor up and down. It goes away after two complete up and down trip, but I didn't do this before? I'll upload a video in a...
