Unrealistic expectations for 71 20hp johnson?

1968 was the last yr where Crankcase Condensate was purged into the Exhaust Housing.

In post #18: That hose#27, is listed as going to the Manifold. The is also another Hose#4 shown that goes to the Bottom of the Crankcase, near the Bottom Bearing, but doesn't say where is goes

So just an update. The motor was never quite getting full throttle. The bracket responsible for holding the throttle linkages and by that i mean the vertical shaft that meshes gears with the twist throttle. Was loose on the block. Screws loose and was missing one all together. I didn't notice it until I took the pull start off to fix it and then it moved. Now that it's tight its preforming exactly as I expect. That little bit of throttle i wasn't getting really made a difference on the take off.
