I am rebuilding complete is the OMC sterndrive with new bearings and seals. The prop shaft was bent out of around to .014. I read .004 was ok. So i have replaced as well.

So you have never removed one while the engine was in the boat on this model? I can reach the bolts by hand. You did make a comment about the three piece drive shaft on the OMC model. Doesn't the mercruiser 898 1979 have the same design three piece drive shaft as well? Does that have failure...

Thanks for the response. The boat is in really good shape stringers and transom are in good shape as well. The both is worth saving. It has a starter problem. The title motor will not move the outdrive relays click, trim, motor doesn't work or doesn't move the motor yet. Do guys...
Aw, give it back. I can find parts for it no problem. Is there anything else why you say give it back? If you mean repairing it myself is not a problem.
