    Ayuh,..... Looks like they'll clean up,..... My local Machine Shop has a huge belt sander with a flat table to get 'em smooth, 'n Flat, so the gaskets can seal properly,....

    Ayuh,...... Either of those shown will probably work, just fine,..... But, in My book, if you want the best available, you can't go wrong, with Fel-pro gaskets,...... Fel-pro gaskets for yer application,.... Btw,... yer manifold to riser gaskets failed, possibly time for fresh manifolds,...

    Ayuh,..... Just because it might says Vortec on the valve covers, count the intake bolts to know they're Vortec heads,.... If they are, go with the MR43LTS spark plugs,....

    Ayuh,..... I merged yer threads to keep yer info together,..... no need to start a new thread,... If yer intake manifold has 12 bolts, those are the right plugs,.... 1996 was a transition year, if there's only 8 bolts, you have Vortec heads, which run the longer MR43LTS plugs,....
