I was cleaning the shop and found a extra part from my water part pump kit. O dam. after looking up the part. It is a water pump cup. The new water pump is made of plastic the old is metal. I am thinking I need to drop the case and put this in. Would I be right. The impeller was already tight...
I replaced the water pump in a 73 Evinrude 65hp and tried it out with some earmuff it did not seem to get any water out of the top exhaust holes. Would a big bucket be better. Also could the thermostat be stuck open in a outboard the water did not feel hot.Thanks
