    how much oil does lower unit hold on 98 115 spl ?

    leaking oil

    98 115 cross flow 90 deg v-4 leaking oil out of 1/16" size hole just to the front of the water intake in the gearcase. is this an easy fix or do i have to pull the complete gearcase apart?

    overcharging??????

    98 115 spl had a prob. with charging did all the tests and needed a rectifier, replaced it but only had 2 yellow wire and 1 red on the new one hooked it up and now i am charging 16 volt at wot. is this to much?

    trim gauge question

    hey guys i have 98 115 spl i just installed, i hooked up the trim gauge(part of a cluster set by beede) i trim up gauge goes down, i trim down gauge goes up tried switching wires at the trim sensor, no good. anyone no how to solve this problem, much thanks

    trim question

    i have just installed a 98 115 johnson spl,i hooked up the trim wire to the gauge but when i trim up the gauge goes down and vise-versa anyone else seen this?

    98 115 spl cooling ?

    i have installed 98 115 spl, started it up today and is peeing good but seems like the heads are getting to warm, so i unhooked hose from thermostat to head and no water when i restarted. is this normal or do i need to do some digging.

    hey guys just installed 98 115 johnson the problem is that i broke the little round plastic cylinder shaped piece on the control box side of the cable,is there a fix for this other than buying new cable?

    not sure where to post but here it is, i have a bombardier control box for my johnson ob but it is missing a small bracket that holds the throttle cable in. does anyone know where to find parts for this box?

    i have a 115 johnson with the model # (j115tbi ecm) or (j115tbl ecm) not sure because sticker is smudged does anyone know what year it is or where i can find out?

    115 mariner surging at high rpm

    hey guys my 97 115 mariner is still surging at high rpm. i have cleaned all carbs, new plugs,changed fuel filter, and all new gas. anyone have any other sugestions? thanks in advance.
