my question is what is the performance difference between a yamaha 50/35 and a mercury 60/40 jet. both outboards are 2 strokes. the yamaha 50/35 give or take is 80lbs lighter then the merc 60/40. the motor will be going on a 1992 tracker pro 16. thank you
i just bought a minn kota edge 55lb thrust trolling motor for my boat. when i bought the boat it came with an old 91/92 motorguide 30lb thrust trolling motor. im not sure what guage wire originally cam with the boat.since i upgraded to a 55lb do i have to change the wiring from the recepticle to...
my local marine shop got a 96 or 98 yamaha 40 hp 2 stroke/2 cylinder in for 1600. controls included. they want to give me 500 for my tracker evinrude 25hp. so thats 1100 for the motor
i have a 1992 tracker pro 16 with a 1992 25hp evinrude tracker long shaft. im looking to upgrade to either a 1994 force 40hp, 1998 tracker force power series 40hp or a 2001 mercury 40hp. would it be worth upgrading to a 40 from a 25? or am i better off using a different pitch prop for the 25?

im going to look at a 02 tracker pro team 165 with a 25hp tracker friday and i have a question. why does the 02 tracker weight almost 1200lbs when the 04 weight is almost 800lbs? why the 400lb difference or what caused the weight difference?
