    Merc 9.8hp popping out of gear under a load

    Re: Horse power or torque? QC, It's nothing fancy right now. Like most older boats it needs some floor work, upholstery, and some paint work. Lucky for me i'm a body/paint tech so I can take care of most of it!. But i'm pretty happy with it. Escpecially for a low low price tag of $500! And it runs!

    Fellas, just aquired a Glastron/Carlson 23' day cruiser. On the top surfaces, the "clear" is peeling. I'm not sure if it's gelcoat or a automotive clear? I was just reading were someone said that gelcoat does not peel. It may crack and flake, but not "peel" like automotive paint. Is this true...
