Fellas,
has anyone built a hard top canopy or made an enclosure to help keep you out of the sun/rain? Thinking about making one for my Tri Hull.

Most people will tell you that you need to be very cautious about adding a hardtop to a boat that did not have one. It depends upon the design, full like mine or something simple like typical sun covers for fishing boats. The concern is stability with the hardtop changing the CG on the boat. So, I guess it depends upon what and how you build it. As you can see in my profile pick, my boat came from the factory with a tall hardtop. I have dismantled it and am in the process of restoring it including replacing all of the plywood. Mine uses thick fiberglass skin and both sections are very, very heavy but then the boat was designed to be stable with it.

Mikey did. It was a fine boat till the carpenter bees ate it. There is a video of him in it on you tube somewhere.

There was a thread here with a guy that had a 15' tri-hull similar to yours .
It actually worked out pretty well . He runs it off shore .
I wish I could remember the members name but it escapes me ...
