As your pic shows, your cover either does not fit correctly or you do not have it strapped tight enough.Inflatable is a good idea .You can use a host of things as support .I have used plastic easy assemble saw horse.Charlie
Quad O ring should be glued into place after carefully thoroughly cleaning where it is seated.This however does not sound like your issue however doing this procedure correctly will remove any doubt re; leaking from this area. In your case my guess is drive shaft seal in the upper.Charlie
Here it is, not a clue what to set it on. BTW found a small block under the dash.Was very clean looking approx 8 screw heads and coated with a protective black coating .Screws have an extremely small slot so I was not able to tighten or loosen with the screwdriver I had on hand.

Did a little research on a Jeep forum and found out that there are 2 brands that manufacture and supply OEM to Mopar. Akebono and Magneti Marelli .Never heard of either but I saw Magneti brakes with the Mopar emblem on the packaging.Both are in $60 range so a little more than brands already...
