Can someone tell me if it is normal that gasoline to come out of the small hole in the fuel pump when I press the bulb, gas begins to come out. for this small hole
I am having a power problem, the motor does not rev more than 2500 rpm in gear but in neutral rev. 5k rpm .

the tag is missing and only see this serial number in the block ..0g873327
and another question about this motor have problem to start I check the carb. And I not see the choke plate when push the key hear a click. .
Hi guys my dude is about the ignition coil
How many volt needs because I check the volt with the engine run and the wire that deliver positive to ignition coil only have 8.5 volt from switch box is this normal or need have 12 volt
The red & white wire in the switchbox have 12.8 each.
In the water no go in reverse
But in the driveway go without problems
Before this happen the idle was little high 1200 rpm.
Because had idle problem.
I disconnect the shift cable and trying move to reverse I feel a resistance as if compressing a spring and not locked
Any idea guys

The motor dies when put gear
And when run only go at 4400 rpm but in neutral 5500 rpm
The motor is hard to start and only keep fire if squeeze the prime buld
The problem began after of ajust throttle cable and clean bottom carb.
Any idea .

Is very hard to start need put little starter fluid
The fuel pump was rebuild the button carb. Had gas leak from butterflies I adjust the float level and stop the leak but now is very hard to start
Any suggestions.
I recently bought a boat came with a 1978 Mercury 140hp engine inliner "tower of power"
start easier and runs well before the first trip I made sure to put a new set of spark plugs
at the back of the river about 2 hours /
check the spark plug 5 plug are little dark and wet
but the spark plug...
