Lol sorry for the vagueness. I'm putting a lower gear ase and lowered back together as the clutch dog was not fully engaging making the gear system slip/grind. But now I ran into the problem of the pinion gear not properly aligning which is keeping me from putting the shaft into the pinion.
It is a 1989 Johnson 90 hp. I'll attach what I mean now I got day light. So the picture show how off the pinion is which is not aligning nor allowing the shaft to go in.
