I removed all the lifters, disassembled them, had to polish afew inner sleeves and then reinstalled.... put new intake gaskets on...I also used gasket sealer on the intake gaskets so I know for sure that's not the issue.... ran for a good hour in the drive way and it doesn't seem to be milking...
That's what I'm worried about.... I'm hoping it's coming from intake gaskets but the water I'm seeing is probably from me separating the intake.... I'm gonna reinstall and pressure test and we're gonna find out
I ended up pulling the intake last night... every lifter is collapsed. It looks like water could possibly be coming in from the intake gaskets... but im not sure how or why... there's absolutely nothing wrong with the gaskets. It almost looked like the angle the mating surfaces were machined at...
So I just pulled the distributor abs it has actual water droplets on it.. . Sooooo not good. And it looks like it's from the intake to block so I'm asking either intake gaskets or head gaskets. I can't work in it again till Sunday but I'm keep you guys updated. Thanks again for all the comments
My wife just took these.. she said oil on bottom and the same residue that's in the valve covers on top.... doesn't feel or see any water... this has been sitting since 4pm yesterday... I'm not sure if that's enough time but that's the status
Just the port that supplies the distributor with oil. Everything was coming out of that and never came out of the rockers. I just had my wife check the oil pan and said the oils on the bottom and the same residue is on the top.... but doesn't see or feel any water
I threw a rod bearing. No sign of anything abnormal in oil or in the rest of the engine... any idea how long that takes? I still have the oil in the pan from yesterday
I can definitely claim the warranty but wanna make sure it's not something on my end. The oil is concerning...I put fresh in and well see what it looks like
