    Draining exhaust manifolds?

    1984 3.8l v6, opened the lower drain cocks on manifolds and water drained out as usual, but also took 3/4 plugs hex key plugs out and a fair bit of water drained from them, never took these plugs out before. do these drain the same cooling chamber as the lower **** drains.

    Tried to raise my outdrive and it wouldnt raise , seems the first 2 teeth and 7 and 8 tooth are worn down so its bouncing on the 7-8 tooth, rest of the gear is great, any idea why these teeth wore out? Got 2 used quadrants on their way.

    pressure test 84 stringer 800

    Done a reseal of top and lower unit last summer, but noticed last fall I had to keep topping up the lower drive. So took drive off and have been pressure testing in a tank, this is weird, pump to 10 psi and over 30 min lose pressure, i cant see for the life of me any bubbles comming out, ckecked...

    Cuda fish finder cable extension

    Anyone know if I can splice my cable running from transducer to the fishfinder? where I would like to place it would require another 3 feet of cable. I have a piece of two wire shielded cable off a old one. Does splicing the cable degrade the operation of it?

    84 Stringer 800 lower unit seal popped

    Resealed my 800 this past spring and all was good, no water intrusion, while winterizing I greased the fitting on the front of the lower unit and after the second shot of grease I heard a pop and it sounded like a little gush of air in the lower unit.
