    Mercury controls for Johnson?

    I have 15 hp johnson J15ELCEC that I want to convert from tiller to remote. I've seen someone that has a full setup at a good price, but the controls are for a Mercury. Can that work, or is a major difference in how they work?

    I have an 89 J15elcec and when I was removing the fuel pump to rebuild it, I broke off the nipple that the outlet fuel line connects to. I see that I can buy a new pump for about $70. Right now, that is not likely to happen. Has anyone else had this happen? Any suggestions?
