I have a aluminum pontoon houseboat. Vintage 1985. The Volvo Penta 131AQ 4 cylinder engine sets in an aluminum pod between the pontoons.
The pod had some scairy cracks so we pulled the 44 foot / 20 ton boat / beast...no easy task... and had it welded in numerous places.
