    Crestliner aluminum corrosion

I'm 8 hours by car to the gulf coast, but your pics reminds me of cars you see driven down to Texas from up north where they salt the roads heavy. I'm guessing its simply salt water corrosion. I hear its a tough nut to crack. I'm sure someone will chime in with more experience.

    Steering wheel hard to turn

Not to point out the obvious...have you looked under the dash, or surrounding area to see if there's some place where maybe some WD-40 might loosen things up ?

I'll hand out some friendly advice. The guys on here will bend over BACKWARD to help you, that's how I Found them back in the days of dial-up internet. They have been pulling my grease out of the fire for well over 10 years. I have no idea how to fix your steering. I THINK Bondo was saying...

I just bought a 2019 tracker pan fish. Live well issues

As we say down south, even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and then...I'm glad it worked out.

I just bought a 2019 tracker pan fish. Live well issues

I've never bought a boat that wasn't at least 20 years old, so I have no personal experience with warranties...you should be able to find out if it transfers, but more than likely, it wont be covered...that's what I hear when I take my truck in for service.

    Lake Bastrop in Texas

Check with your local Game Warden or TPWD. They know most of the good spots and if you are legal (which you should be) then they are your friends.

    Record crappie

Now thats a BARN DOOR Crappie! When I was a kid, in the 80's, we used to hang out with friends on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma. There was a creek that fed into the lake and a wooden bridge with tall railings that crossed it. We would go there and drop a line between the boards and fish...

2 cycle stored for 20 years

I had the same boat with a 20 HP Chrysler. I strapped the motor to the transom so it couldn't move on the transom while xporting, worked for 10 years.

    What year 85 HP Johnson

I have a 1977 85 HP Johnson and you couldn't PRY it out of my hands. I love this motor. I don't need a trolling motor, just let her idle in forward and she moves about 1 knot. I just got her cranked, been out of service a while (me and the boat both). I switched fuel tanks and this one...

    Fueld sender charred up

I'd say you had a fire there. My fireman friend says you need fuel, heat, and oxygen to make fire. A depletion of any one of those and the fire goes out. Or the owner grabbed an extinguisher and put it out. I Watched a loudmouth drunk at Hippie beach "prime" his inboard/outboard with a...

    Fuel tank capacity

Nothing says you must run WOT all the time. If you cut it back a tank will last much longer. The deep sea fishing rigs off Louisiana are known for crawling out to the fishing spot to conserve fuel.

Took a water hose, held it flush with the water outlet in the well and let her rip. A bunch of gunk came out the inlet. Later his son, 12yo, took the hose and pressed it against the inlet at the back of the boat. He enjoyed the soaking more than I did.

    Fuel tank capacity

I was told years ago to take the horsepower of the motor, divide by 10 in gallons for an hour of WOT running. Example: an 85 hp motor will use approximately 8.5 gallons an hour at WOT. I hope this helps.
