I hit a stump the other day and now my speedo does not work. I think I may have got some wood in the outdrive where it gets it speed reading from. Any ideas how to fix this?

FYI I have a 21' wellcraft excel with 5.7 carb mercruiser. If I put it in front of the trim tab will that mess up the performance?
I have a mercruiser 5.7 I/O with a quicksilver 3000 classic side control. Just want to verify that the teleflex ch1700 is the correct replacement.

Looking to replace gauges and narrowed it down to 2 sets. Teleflex lido gauges and Autometer marine crome. Anybody have any suggestions or pictures? Would like to see what the teleflex look like at night!
Wondering if anyone has this head unit and where they mounted it at? Main concern is it not fitting in a typical boat mounting slot and still allow the cover to close!
