    Needle and Seat Adjustment

    I have an 89' Johnson 110 and one of the carbs is pouring fuel. I have the rebuild kit and am going to start on it tonight. When I install the new needle and seat what kind of adjustments do I need to make? And any suggestions on how to make this process go smooth, it's my first rebuild.

    Re: 1989 Johnson pouring fuel Yes they are plastic, but not leaking from there. The picture below isnt my carbs but look exactly the same. The arrow is where the fuel is coming out, those 2 metal pieces.

    I have a 89' Johnson 110 VRO. I have replaced the VRO system and mix the fuel now. The lower carb is pouring fuel out and leaking every where. The motor still runs but fuel is going everywhere. I have pulled apart both carbs, cleaned them and tightened everything down. Any ideas why this is...

    This was my original thread. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=480630 I took the old VRO pump off and got the one everyone suggested. Mixed 50:1 and in the lake it will not go over 2k rpms even at WOT. Debating on rebuilding the old VRO pump. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

    I am having a fuel delivery issue and I am not sure what it is. I am thinking its either fuel pump, primer bulb, fuel filter or I was getting a vapor lock with a gummed up gas tank breather. I am looking on this website and I do not see a fuel pump, just a kit. Mine has the VRO oil injected...

    Johnson 110

    I have a 1989 Johnson 110. I took my boat out yesturday and it would idle okay when sputter out and die unless i gave it some throttle. Then I would open it up, get the boat planed out for ~ 20 seconds then I could watch the RPM's drop quick and the motor would die. I have no idea whats going on.

    Trailer Bearing rebuild

    I have a 17'9'' Bass boat on a Tetra trailer with bearing buddy's and want to rebuild them. Anyone have a write up on how I can do this or explain to me how to get the hub opened up so i can check the bearings? Thank you.

    Good grease cleaner

    I need to clean the grease off my trailers rims from the years of use. What is a good grease cleaner? Should I just try engine degreaser? I need something that won't eat away the crome, thank you.

    Trolling motor, 2 blade or 4?

    I have a motorguide magnum 740 trolling motor with a 4 blade motorguide ninja prop. I have broken 2 of the 4 blades off and need to replace the prop. In everyones experience is it better to have a 2 blade or a 4 blade?

    2'' drop

    I tow a 18' bass boat with a Jeep Cherokee and it squats the Jeep down pretty good ~2000lbs. I currently have a 2'' drop off the hitch, do you think it would tow better or worse if it has a 2'' rise? Thank you.

    New prop size-what to expect?

    I have a 1989 Johnson 110 with a 13 3/8 x 17 prop. Today I bought a 13x19. I was told that I should expect a little more speed but less towing power. The 17 pitch prop ran about ~5800, and was told this one will run at ~5500. Should I expect a speed increase or will I be below the recommended RPMs?
