While engine is running, each time I use the tilt/trim switch from the motor cowling or the at the helm, engine RPM drops 200 and struggles a little.
I'm not good at electrical diagnosis, so gonna need some help. Any body know where to start?
Will be repowering my boat from a 2007 OPTIMAX 115 to a 200 or 225 this winter and have a couple questions:
1. My 115 is currently an XXL shaft (25") not the shorter version...Can I use this lower unit and 5" spacer with a 200 or 225 hp motor?
2. I currently have dual rack and pinion...
I've never had a problem unclogging any drain until now :mad-new: I've tried everything from hot soapy pressurized water at the car wash to high-powered drain clearing agents with sulfuric acid (which I hated doing) and still had no noticeable difference!!
When I apply the water hose at home...
Bought a 2007 Tahoe 195 OB boat with an 07 115 Optimax and it came with a problem or probems.
First, I took it to the lake and found that the RPMs went upwards to 7000!!! YIKES!!! I get home and find that the prop hub was slipping. During the time on the lake, I didn't a warning until I was...
At the lake, parked the doo. Went back about an hour later to go home, and when I attach the lanyard, I got the normal 2-beeps, but immediately followed by four longer beeps. Shop manual says "problem MPEM not communicating with ECU" in the troubleshooting chart. It also made the solenoid...

2001 Seadoo GTX RFI with the off white hull. Has a terrible Eufala lake-mud or Cimarron River red clay like stain that I have not been successful at removing. I've tried several solutions but to no evail
Does someone know what to use to get this D**N stain?
Thanks for any help
I can't figure out what's wrong. I bought this craft to rebuild and sell. Electronically, everything worked until I completely rebuilt the lower/upper end of the motor. I have done a number of these so I know that the wiring is hooked up correctly and the motor did run before rebuild.
During...
Just got done with a comlete rebuild from bottom to top on the 717. The only thing I didn't replace or mess with was the charging system/stator. Upon firing up the new motor and letting her run for about 15 minutes, I then shut her down and attempted a restart. Nothing happened  I started...
I just got through rebuilding this motor from crankshaft up. I started it up today (with flush kit) and no problems, ran smoothly, responsive, etc. After about 10 minutes of just idleing and giving her tiny boosts of throttle, I shut it down using the start/stop switch. I then attempted to...
I am in the works of reconditioning a 1998 Seadoo GTI for resale and I have come across this problem.
I noticed that the speedo needle sits below the "0" stop pin. I am wondering how to get the needle back to where it rests on top of the pin when the key is removed so that it will display your...
Just bought this GTX. Runs great except for when you just give a little throttle - about 2000 to 2200 RPM. It acts like you are applying throttle and immediately relaxing throttle in 1 second intervals. After you give more throttle to take off, it seems to run fine. Fresh fuel and oil. I did...

I'm looking into buying a 95 750 ZXI that the owner states the battery coming loose while underway and shorting out the wiring. He says that he knows nothing about how to fix it or what to look for. I can get this at a steal if I can get someone that knows the Kawasaki ZXI's which I don't...
Found a place in the NE that machines trim tabs out of aluminum for my 97 GP's. The tab mounting holes matches the old stock (plastic) trim tab holes, so installation is easy. The biz authorized me to spread the word on the tabs since they are hard to find - especially made of aluminum and not...
