    How to make a starter rope?

    i have 2 motors with out a recoil starter so how do you make a rope with a handle to start these motors? thanks

    What is this??

    i recently bought a motor being told it was a johnson but not shure what it is. under the flywheel it says RE Phelon Co. and model F-109. But also on the block it says 1-31. can anybody identify the motor? i will also attach pictures the motor has some red sticker parts still left if that helps.

    1949 Johnson seahorse 5h.p TD-20 help!!

    I have a 1949 Johnson seahorse 5h.p Model number TD-20. i need some help on the chrome or silvery stuff on the front and that wraps around the back is old and dull looking and i want to get it to shine again and i dont know if you can buff it or what you do to it to make it look good again...
