Got 1 layer of 1708 biaxial glass on the transom outside the boat, I glassed only the edges and the inside face (the side not getting epoxied to the hull) and then got it clamped in.

Decided to go with titebond 2, spread a liberal amount onto the transom, I also installed 4 dowels to line the 2 pieces up when I clamp them down to prevent them from sliding around.

I guess what I’m also asking is if I’m in a jamb and need to use it, it won’t have any negative implications to throw it into some polyester resin for thickening?
The only place I’ll be using thickened epoxy will be when I replace the transom, I plan on bonding the new transom to the inside skin of the hull.

Had a mixup on an order and received some 1/4” carbon chopped strands instead of fibreglass chopped strands.
Not worth the drive or hassle to return them, would it be ok to use them in a polyester resin peanut butter mix for fillet or bedding the stringers in?
