when servicing my lower unit inboard outboard omc cobra it says to do it in the vertical postion and feel from the top fill port once it is full will it read on the dip stick on the upper house
i moved the throotle to reverse and the lower unit starts making a funny noise like the prop was not spinning just the shaft it sits on. So i went to forward same thing; i took my boat out of the water killed it and placed it in forward tried to spin the prop would not spin. did this in reverse...
the boot from my transom to my outdrive has holes in it i was wondering if that is normal or if it needs to be replaced if it needs to be replaced how hard is it to do
i lowered my cobra outdrive the other day and a mixture of water and mostly gear lub came out of the area between the prop and the outdrive are my seal goin out internally or is this normal

i am taking off my omc cobra outdrive to replace it with a mercruiser outdrive and was wondering if a outdrive from a 3.0 will fit a 4.3 l or does it need to be compatiable or come off a 4.3 l
i have a mercruiser v-6 4.3l mercruiser vortec with a cobra outdrive i was wondering if i could place a 270 outdrive on there or would it mess up my motor
i am assuming that a 270 is for a 4 cyclinder motor please let me know if that is correct
