Thanks to everyone for taking your time to give me input. Low and behold...my impeller was upside down. So it worked temporarily until the impeller spun around the plastic key. And you guys thought you seen it all...lol

I am I am...I just did a total engine rebuild. First time and learned a lot.. I learned steel bolts in aluminum block for 35 yrs isn't cool. Broke off 10 bolts. Machine shop did all for $125.
On fuel pump there's 2 small nipples. Left one and right one. Need location of hoses. I did complete engine rebuild. From the fuel pump...the right or left one goes to the intake manifold. From there...the right one or left one goes to the carb and T's off to a small nipple behind the fuel...
