    Johnson 55 I can't figure out

    I have a mid 70's Johnson 55hp. Compression is 110lbs on both cylinders, new fuel pump rebuilt carbs, and I know it's getting fuel, and getting good spark on both cylinders, so does anyone have a clue why it won't run

    I had a 1997 force 120, I am replacing it with a 1987 force 125, the 1997 had the mercury style electrical plug, but my 1987 doesn't can anyone help with cross reference the wire colors to remove the plug and hard wire the 1997 controls to the 1987 motor

    I feel like such a idiot asking this question, but I removed the drain screw from my lower unit, it has the long skinny screw now when I try to put it back its hitting something solid and wont budge past around 1/4 the way in. any idea what ive done wrong
