That would make so mich since when I bought the boat they had just replaced the belt and the engine had black dust alllll over it so I will most definitely look at that!
So I did some work on the boat new pumps and new iac and it runs alot better now but ! I still like 1000 to 1500 rpms will have it wanna just shut off but idle is fine and 2000 rpms and above no issues idk just can't figure that one out

I have a merc I believe it's a 73? It's serial 4233250 I need a stator the one I have on there is 2 wires coming from it I can't find that same style stator ? I attached a picture of the stator I have found similar I belive this us a 10 Amp stator ? If so I found some but they have like 5 wires...
I did get info on the prop it's a m 14 ¼ x 24 turbo 3 blade stainless 15 spline idk if it will fit or not any help would be appreciated if it won't not a big deal but it would be a free prob just curious if it would fit
Buddy of mine has a 150 merc blackwater with a new stainless prop will this fit my motor? I don't know alot about props the one on mine is a 3 blade stock not sure of the pitch but I didn't know if his would work on mine or not
So I wired up the tach and when I turn the engine over it reads rpms on the gauge but I didn't move that brown wire if uts showing its reading would I have to move it ? Not sure how all that works
