I have a Circa 1980s BF100 long shaft. After fixing the water pump by buying the seal ring that allows water to move up the water tube, I was able to finally see the water pee out the side. But I noticed that water spitting out of the split case of the inlet manifold toward the rear shooting out...
No I think it is okay now. The seal did work and the pee hole is working. But now I notice the inlet manifold leaks water at the gasket seam until it heated up and stopped. IS this okay?
I spoke to a honda OB mechanic he said you would never get it started at only 60 psi. Yet it starts up ok-- not great, but does send alot of spent oil into the water tank as if it were a 2 stroke. I also have an issue with the impellor which I think I solved because of the lower ring seal not...
I bought a bf100 circa 85 Honda 10 HP long shaft that did not pee water. When I went to change the impellor I was surprised to find it intact. So I pieced it together ( one of the 4 thread inserts that anchor down the imp housing required a longer bolt -- must have stripped the end of that...
Yes the local outboard shop just told me that Thanks, although it does not make sense since I always thought the throttle dealt with carb not the valves and therefore it wouldn't seem likely that it would effect compression.
I did a compression test on a Honda bf100 which states in service manual that the psi should be over 150 but when I conducted the test I only get about 60psi :(, but consistent between both cylinders :) .
Even after spraying oil in each cylinder, as it may have been standing for some time, it...
I just bought a honda BF100 circa 1980s with no fuel tank or hoses.( started up when I sprayed fuel into carb) I see that the female fitting for the engine side 17650 921 003ZB looks very very similar to the Johnson Evinrude old barb style, however the price differential is 5 xs more for the...
