I picked up a free Elgin 2hp and have no spark.
Coil was sitting loose with no wires connected when I removed flywheel. Coil checks bad and points are shot too.
Compression is good.
I need a schematic and part numbers for this mag.

No data plate anywhere. One softplug with #G2252562 on it and according to Marine Engine.com- it's not a valid number.
What now?? I want to get a factory manual on this thing and I gotta know the model number.

I just pulled the lower unit and the driveshaft is stuck up in the crank. Model 10020.
Turned motor upside down and flooded shaft with Aero Kroil.Let it set all night.
Still stuck and I'm not looking forward to pulling the powerhead to get it out.

I picked up a 94 5hp Merc and the cowl is painted black, Black only! Looks like the previous owner didn't like the Merc decals or whatever so he scraped em off and painted the whole thing black.

I just fired up an old 56 5.5 Evinrude. Dual hose setup. Mixed 24/1 in tank.
