'96 Johnson 112 V4 SPL Outboard
Faria 4" Dress White Series Tach/System Check, 7,000 RPM
When I start the boat the tach works while I am idling but when I throttle up the needle drops to zero and stops working.

Thanks for the information. We had the boat out twice last weekend and I am really starting to love it. I had my first and last boat for 8 years so I knew everything about it. I just need to get used to this new boat. I'm glad to hear you love this boat.

About 2 months ago I purchased this 1996 Larson Flyer 166. It is a beautiful boat. I had it on the water once but it needed a few minor repairs. I am really looking forward to getting it on the water again. This boat has a Johnson V4 112hp outboard.
I am looking for someone else that owns a 1996 Larson Flyer 166 so I can compare performance. I just purchased this boat and had it on the water yesterday. I would like to discuss some of the issue I encountered.
