I need to change my spark plugs and spark plug wires on my omc. My question is this.
Can i use regular automotive plugs ans spark plug wires on a marine engine or do i need to look for marine ones?
Also i may need to change the distributer cap as well, does that need to be marine or is regular...

Gonna be bringing home a boat i bought in a couple of weeks.
the gas in the boat is at least 2 yrs old, i'm sure i need to drain out the old gas.
Do i need to do this or do you think the gas is still ok too use?
I know it has fuel stabilizer in it. any suggestions?

Re: drain plugs
there is what looks like a petcock screw coming out of the side of the exhaust manifold, not sure if that is a drain plug or not? They gave me two screws.
like i said before i found the one on the side of the block, not sure if there is one under the motor somewhere all i see...

Just bought a boat that has alot of oxidation on the blue paint, someone told me that soft scrub works well cutting oxidation, cheaper than buying bottles of deoxidizer, what do you all use to clean your boats?
