Assuming you’ve got an I/O, you can check the gimbal ring. Mine had gotten a tad loose and once tightened to spec (carefully) it improved the wander at slow speeds greatly for me.
An overall appreciation post is past due on here.
Same for me, over the years all the knowledge has let me do all the fixes and maintainance myself, which in turn has let me afford boating. Those garage costs would have sunk me fast.

Definently take the time to find that leak proper. Its tempting to forget about it after it seems to be holding oil and running well. It will run great until it doesnt and then its too late.
