    My 94 Mariner 75 HP will run fine, then bog down, then speed up, back and forth, or sometimes cut off. It's intermittent. Sometimes it runs fine.     2000 50HP Mercury 4 stroke outboard chokes out under power

    I just bought a boat with a 2000 50HP Mercury outboard 4 stroke. Runs great in the driveway in neutral, forward, and reverse. I put it in the lake, starts fine, but chokes out when I put it in gear. I put new gas in the tank, but it still happens. Ideas? Thanks.

    Mercruiser outdrive: pump runs but won't lower

    I bought a 1988 Stingray with a 130 Mercruiser that had been sitting for a couple of years. The outdrive is up, but when I hit the switch to bring it down, the pump motor runs, but nothing happens. It has plenty of oil. Any ideas?
