I was on ebay and someone is selling a 6 hp power head and suggested it's the same as the 15 hp power head....
I have a 2001 model long shaft in great shape (6hp)...and find that connection hard to believe.....
If it is related what are the differences.

My mercruiser alignment tool is not going into the coupler properlyl The step is tooo large to get into the grease coupler snout.......does this take a special tool.

I have a new to me 25 h.p. long shaft 4 stroke that doesn't want to go past top dead center with the electric start. I pull the plugs and turns over with no problem. With plugs in it goes one full turn and it appears the compression stops it from going further. Compression is about 125 btw...

i have an older 4 h.p. yachtwin......So far i have cleaned up carb, replaced coil pack and points and condensors, and plug wires and plugs. It only fires on one cylinder. I pull the lower plug and no difference. pull the top one and it dies.
what's left. reed valves. faulty flywheel...
