Anyone have any idea why someone would install such a thing? The only thing I can think of is to let the heat out or additional air in. Opinions, thoughts? Thanks
Hi all,
Got a question about changing from an OMC trolling motor to a Minnkota Riptide for my F&S. I want & need a quick release to fit my current cover. I like the thought of the composite "puck" as being the only thing on the boat when troller is off, more so then an aluminum bracket sticking...
Just thought I'd give an update, I see many issues with no resolve.

Have what I belive to be a stock prop 15 pitch- my question is how tight should the prop nut be, I have not been able to find it in the book. There is the big taper washer at the gear end & what looks like a plastic or fiber washer at the nut end. The nut...

Both tests have there place! If one person thinks one is faster, quicker, easier that is fine I do not want a debate about which one is better as they give slightly different...

Re: Evinrude 48spl 1990 2cyl Now it wont idle but ran great under load
Think, think, think, fret, fret, fret,.......... lets pull the idle needle valves & adaptors out. This is what I found in the top carb (not the dime) it looks to be a sliver of aluminum. The pics makes it look huge, but is...
I picked up a CL special..... It starts great with a little throttle, That has not changed. We have a long no wake zone nearly 15 min. We made our way out @2000 rpm & it felt great. We get to the "END NO WAKE" & I open it up and After a little trim adjustment to stop the porpiusing & cavation It...

I got the wiring harness, timing belt & cranking link & sync done. The timing thing I was confused about but went with my gut. #1 piston TDC. & lined the rotor to #1 (late phasing of rotor button to dist cap post)
The cranking looked like around 9.5 deg by the lable at max advance but, the...
Pulled the carbs apart today. The top carb was first & when I pulled the seat out. There was a rubber seal under it. Looked like a pass through grommet. Under the rubber grommet is a copper looking washer which looks like a flare seat. It does not want to budge so I stopped digging at it, and...
