@boscoe99 What manual is this from ? This is all my manual says
So this is opposite of what I was thinking but if I follow this and I test Brown stator wire to + test lead and Red stator wire to - test lead I get 60 volts which is not within specs for the low speed. And if I test Red stator...
there are three wires for the stator Red Blue and Brown.. The black that I am speaking off is from the meter... which test lead goes where ? If I test red test lead to blue stator wire and black test lead to red stator wire the output I get is 13 dc volts. But if I switch it around and test...
There not they are ac but you can't test peak voltage using ac you need to convert it to dc using a dva adapter or dva meter.. to remove read the peak voltage.
Working on a 2001 90hp Yamaha Model 90TLRZ issue is it wont come on plane.
I have done some test on the stator and for starters I'm getting conflicting information.
A the manual calls for the low speed coil test Red and brown 60 dc volts and high speed coil test red and blue 100 dc volt ...
I could not agree more.. The only thing that throws me for a loop is A. I cant find any model #'s that start at E1009 and none of them in 88--94 have a woodruff Key.
