No, they are seperate and will be set in the bell housing.
But the upper bearing also has a remarkable play and the seals are right below that. So if there is a possible movement of this shaft there will be no good function of the seals.
I did understand that, but my impeller is good and the ellbows are almost new (arround 40 hours). I also have a pice of transparent hose where I can see the water flow and I check this at motor start twice a week. So there is no lack of cooling.
I did check some internet pages and they all say...
Thank you for your reply. If the U openings are facing each other then every liqiud going in would be trapped in there ?
I would have done it just the other way round and face the inner one inside and the outer one outside, or face both outside as there should be nothing inside to keep there...
Hello,
I did use the search function but could not find anything about this topic. So if there is a thread about this already please guide me there.
Yesterday I removed my Alpga One Gen. II drive and found a lot of salt in the area of the shift wire. In my oppinion this should not be there and...
If you want to test it on the trailer you can ask someone to push the propeller against the blockage when the gear is in. If you switch to neutral then you can see how the switch is pressed. It is very important for the fingers of the helping person that the engine is not running when you do that.
I will show you a picture.
When the piston is up the mark on the balancer should match the mark on the housing at 0°. Sorry that I do not have the picture at 0° on hand, but I think you can imagine.
In this position both valves of the first cylinder need to be up.
I can turn the...
The Point is that the camshaft makes 2 turns while the distrubutor does only 1 turn. To be sure you can remove the cap of the cylinder head and make sure that both valves of cylinder #1 are closed when piston #1 is at the highest point. This is the point where distributor finger points to...
My new engine came with two lifting eyes bolted to the cylinder heads.
For taking it out of the box I used two belts on the small fork lifter.
An engine lift bar is also just as good
To put it into the boad I found it very easy to use a larger fork lift and an electric winch.
Ricks explanation makes absolut sense but on my engine the oil pressure switch next to the distrubutor is connected to the gauge. The switch for the pump is near the oil filter on port side.
