Yes, I ran it about 15 or 20 seconds shut it off then pulled it over to the water and hooked it up to the water and ran it for about 3 minutes.

I saw these the other day, put it in my cart. Am waiting to see what happens with my old one, and no particles are coming off the float. Thank you for the advice it is greatly appreciated.

I filled the bowl with gas, let the float float did lose some gas due to evaporation, took the float out and laid it on. A paper towel and towel stayed dry.

Assembly 42 is as shown on my carb. Washer 47 is installed. But my float is " loose " as in wobble from side to side. I was thinking that could the float be rubbing or sticking to the side of the bowl causing the needle not to seat or possibly a bad pump, which I replaced back in April before...
