Considering leaving my BR for a deck boat

There are certainly deck boats built for bigger water. My family and I did a photo shoot many years ago for glastron driving a DX235 deckboat. (Edit: 2009 model) Tons of space and a fairly deep v that allowed me to run 55mph down gull lake with a 5.0l. Middle pic. Thought it was a pretty nice boat.

Collinite 920 cleaner followed by 885 Fleetwax. Keeps a mirror shine on my mostly black boat

Making a custom trailer guide-in - could use advice

In a stock configuration the PVC covers the pipe and the foam/fabric covers over the PVC will cause the PVC to rise if your trailer is in insanely deep. You don't want short steel pipes and longer PVC the steel pipes will flex plenty on their own. These have steel to the top, with a PVC sleeve...

Black Scorpion 5.7 / Thunderbolt V coil wire

Winterizing my inlaws 04 Malibu LXI yesterday and we were replacing the plug wires, cap/rotor. Snapped the end off the coil end of the coil wire but got the stub out. Unfortunately the new set came with 2 coil wires and neither style works with the coil on this motor. Motor is a 2004 Mercury...

    303 protectant and fabric guard

The fabric guard is what you would use on your cover as a waterproofer. The protectant is for things like your vinyl seats. I like 303 stuff, free makes it even better ;) I think the only boat related thing I don't have is the speed detailer.

    sirius xm radio

Mine is in front of the windshield by one of the bow cup holders. Granted I installed it, but that is pretty close to where the factory put them on my boat.

    Funny/Unsafe boat towing picture thread

Here is a recent one. Not sure if the transom straps would have helped or if the trailer tongue would have just folded up with this amount of force.

2008 Glastron DS 215 Deck Boat - Only 30 Hours

It is always odd when boats sit like that. Positive thing is that it has been used for 19 hours in the last 2 years, so theoretically the mechanicals are still good. Big thing is to just go over the whole boat and look at the condition. I'm a pretty big fan of those boats, family and I...

Better then a typical tandem tow?

Must have to be really careful to have the boat low on fuel. That picture hurt my head

    Draining fuel on 04 crestliner

Right behind the motor should be water ;) Does it look like it unscrews from the outer part that is held with the 4 screws? Sounds like the cover in my floor that allows me to get to the front ballast pumps.

    Looking for opinions on Deckboats

Glastron made a lot of deck boats as well. We drove a couple of the larger ones for a catalog shoot in 2007 and I thought they were pretty nice boats at the time. This one is a DX235 (2008 model year) that I'm driving

    Quick tire change

Had a tire peel its tread off last week on the way home from vacation, luckily we had a spare and the stuff to change it. Ordered a replacement up right away from etrailer (one of the few places I can get the size/load I need). Showed up today, 30 minutes later we are ready to go again. All you...

Review Of EZ Drain oil Drain Valve

Not sure I understand the concept of the valve on the pan when used with a standard pan drain hose that has a plug in it. The factory setup on the last few boats I have had is pretty much like this - pull it out the transom, remove plug and drain.
