I have an 84 evenrude, worked very reliably for years. Has fresh gas mix. (auto oiler is been bypassed for 5ish years), use stable in fuel etc.
It starts reliably if using the choke/advance. Then stalls out sputtering like it's fighting for fuel even wtih fast idle high. Looking around at old...
Re: Chrysler Charger 151 Winter Project (first boat)
Well didn't keep this thread up to date but it did hit the water for the first time in three years today. Total fuel system rebuild new wires and she ran great. Needs a polish job but the transom doesn't flex going down the road.

Re: Chrysler Charger 151 Winter Project (first boat)
An example of some of the polishing that went on. All the chrome and polished parts on the boat were heavily scuffed and scratched. For a first polish job I am not that happy with a lot of the outcomes on the cleats, rub rails etc, but they...
Re: Chrysler Charger 151 Winter Project (first boat)
Put the upper on the lower, some small alignment issues, I will be much more careful if I do this again to keep the lower in square when the floor is out etc. Engine is running again on the newly cleaned/rebuilt carbs.

Well put the bi-axle fabric on the transom, started fitting for the new splash well,
I must say that two part expanding foam when it starts going it starts going fancy stuff.
We have a small 14' boat with a 19' mast. We think we have all the parts centerboard etc, but we are not 100% sure on the rigging.
Does anyone have one of these small craft and how they would be rigged?
I have an oprotunity to purchase a merc 850 with SN 4297724,
Starts easy comes with working trim setup, new wire harness and control cables (needed as I don't have a set for Mercs).
How would I figure out what market is for such a motor? Also what issues should I check for for these mid 70's...
