Try to sell it... I traveled 150 miles to buy parts off a guy who really cleaned them up. After having a guy install broken parts 70miles away. I have an 84 3.8l omc 800 and I love my boat, and im very thankful for people that have parts for sale to keep her going.

Hey, I am so mad at myself!!! I just replace my tilt motor again thinking it was burned up.... well I did a last resort and loosed it up, and it worked. So I just looked up the torque spec for the tilt motor bolts.... and I got this. I wish someone knew or said this here, So I'm posting...

OMG I think I found it on EBAY pn 909513. cant upload the pic though...I just kept adjusting my search words and finally got a hit. I still need to find this mysterious nylon washer. My hardware store has them, but I dont know how thick it should be.

I have the spring. Im missing the coupling retainer. And a nylon washer. The book isnt specific on it.. Ill upload pics of the book. Hopefully someone has a parts book.

Thanks I'll give that a shot. After looking at the book closer, it seems I'm missing the Hammer Coupling retainer, the gets installed before the coupling. I'll bet thats the reason my shaft is starting to crack. I cant find a replacement, anyone have a part number or source? Thanks

Update... I actually found thin nylon washers at my local Ace Hrdw. Should I put one behind the hammer coupling? Also my freaking worm gear shaft is showing a tiny crack starting at the end where it attaches to the hammer coupling. This is my 2nd shaft bought it off ebay years ago used. It...

Sounds to me like its sucking air from somewhere. But with an electric FP, hmmm stuck needle valve. Blow some air though the fuel inlet on the carb. Listen for a pop as it builds pressure.

ATF works wonders unsticking things.

Sound like your fuel line is sucking air and killing the motor when the demand is higher than Idle. I have had this happen to may times on my outboards.
